Show me the right sides of you
because I am tired of the wrongs around me
show me how you can hold your breath
and try to turn yourself blue,
not the same thing but close enough.

Show me the shades of your eyes,
the lines on your palm,
show me the marks on your back,
the moles on your chin,
show me everything, inside and within.

Show me how the pieces have marked you inside out,
how the broken shattered pieces of bones have made you hollow
show me how the slashes on your wrist that you very carefully hide
the lines that are now an extension to your lifelines
it could never kill you but made you bolder.

Show me that underneath the cloak of invisibility,
you still are a roaring lion ,
that no matter how hard you hold on tight to your pain
you still like to smile when no one is looking around
that you still sulk at times and shed a tear beyond those walls

Show me your freckles and your scars,
let me kiss them slowly
take an inch of your pain with my lips
and surrender to it all

Show me your hurt and fear,
and let me open my bare arms wide,
take them all, one at a time,
and give you none of these in return

Show me your love and trust,
and let me reciprocate the same
with no words to spare,no emotions to leave
and invest myself completely in your arms

Show me how words can leave you
feeling happy and loved and missed and sad and lonely
the same words, again and again and again,
becoming redundant as we constantly speak,
and get nothing out of it somehow.

Show me everything you’ve got,
and I will show you my deepest darkest secrets,
You’ve seen a lot but more is yet to come, my dear,
so let me show the rest of it all,
just close your eyes, and follow my lead.
