Nine hundred ten, Nine hundred eleven

Wrists
lying on the floor
like used tissues
just a couple of couple
wrists with blood flowing from them
all over the floor
and sink
turning the white ceramic into a perfect palate of red
something that even an artist would be amused of.
Skin
senseless on the cold marble
colder than the marble
covered in goosebumps
and blue veins
like a tree on a white earth
blue trees with branches everywhere
from the neck to the navel
all seen very clearly
on the naked bodies
like lights on a christmas trees,
only grim.
Sunshine
hidden somewhere deep
layers after layers
like fixing a russian doll
one after the other and one more on top
until the lady painted looks fat.
Sunshine, hidden away safe
for darker days that never came
because let’s face it,
clouds and dark skies are far more melodramatic than happy blue skies,,
and words are darker with cloudy skies,
so cloudy skies, it is.
Clocks
ticking tirelessly and
ringing every hour and the hour after that
and making no sound
but the TICK TICK TICK every second,
like a water drop from a leaking tap
it is harmless other days,
but right now it’s very agitating
and frankly I want to get up and break it into pieces,
but laying here is far more easy,
and I can barely move,
so I listen to the TICK TICK TICK
and lose my senses
while counting the seconds.
One , Two, Three…. Nine Hundred Ten, Nine Hundred Eleven.
